Peggy (Margaret) Broche
Margaret Broche is 17 years old. Her grandfather named her Peggy the day after she was born. She grew up in Radnor, Pennsylvania, a very wealthy suburb just outside the city of Philadelphia. Peggy’s father is a successful and very wealthy attorney. Peggy’s mother loves the lifestyle they live much more than she loves her husband - the grand beautiful home, Christmas skiing in the Alps, spring trips to the Bahamas, Mercedes in the driveway, etc. Peggy feels awkward in school, she wears glasses, has hair that will never stay just right, feels just a little too tall and a little too skinny. Bright, but shy about showing it, Peggy wants to make friends, but is just too timid. Peggy’s best friend has been her grandfather, but he has withdrawn and become sad since his wife, her grandmother, died about 11 months ago.
